The Parker's were up and out early this morning to pick up Nanny Maureen and then go to the Game fair at Blenhaim Palace's estate in Oxford. The day started hot and got hotter and hotter, the fair is organised by the Country Land Ass so its place the you go if you are into anything country - fishing, shooting, horses and you can buy literally anything there from a tea towel with a fish on it to a tractor to a huge statue for your gateway to your estate!
We arrived mid morning and it was quite a walk from where we parked the car to the main gate. We had a spot of lunch and then watched Bernard do his celebratory clay shoot before heading for the shade with a smoothie. We then went on the Toyota 4x4 driving range which meant the car going up and down very steep hills, going on its two side wheels. Daisy loved it and hinted to Tim that we should get a car like it!! It was then time to head to the fishing area to meet up with some friends of Nanny Maureen's. After hanging out there for while we headed home. It was lovely to see everyone but the day was hard work not only with the very hot weather but Sam decided that he was going to have a day of tantrums which I think was down to the heat and also he couldnt run off and do his thing he was either in his buggy or walking but having to hold hands because of the amount of people oh and plus he is near the terrible twos!!! I think all in all we must have walked at least five miles, so well done Daisy! Due to the heat we drank about ten bottles of water, three cartons of apple juice, three coffees, two diet cokes and a sprit between us!
