Lights, Camera, Action!

It was a big day in the Parker household as Daisy was appearing in Dance Live 09 at the Brighton Dome. It is a part of Brighton festival and all the schools in Brighton & Hove perform a dance. It is on over four nights and Daisy's school was on tonight. She has been rehearsing for a few months and went down to the Dome for a full dress rehearsal this morning.

They were the first school up and what can I say but amazing! I cried through the whole dance I was so proud and Daisy did a fantastic job. We saw Aunty Debby with her school and Nanny Maureen, Nanny Anne, Grandad, Aunty Jo and Cala came along to cheer Daisy on. We then went for a pizza before heading home. It was a long and busy day for the little lady but a great one.

Happy Mother's Day

I was woken up this morning by two beautiful little people bearing homemade cards and offering to make me breakfast in bed... which I declined as I didnt think it was wise considering they are only 4.5 yrs and 2.5 years old!

Daddy arrived home this morning from a week away snowboarding. We spent the day chilling at home and doing some gardening (well Mummy doing gardening). Aunty Jo, Cala and Jay popped over and Sam and Daisy gave Cala and Jo a small gift to each of them for Mother's day as a thank you for always being there when we need help with the children and being so supportive when Sammy boy has been in hospital.

Nanny Maureen, Nanny Anne and Grandad then came over for suppa, after lots of yummy food, the boys washed up and the mummy's relaxed!

Thursday - Feels like Summer is here
The weather has been so lovely Daisy wore her summer school uniform today and was very happy to have matching sock and hairband. She was so proud of herself. After school we starting making our Easter bonnets which is always a messy job! Cala then came for a sleep over as I went out with some of the mum's from school.

Daisy is currently doing a project on birds at school and her class put on a performance of the Feather today. Daisy was the Mother Duck and had to lead all the other ducks.

Today was my last day working for a while so feeling very relaxed about life at the moment, although I am sure that will change when no money comes in from me working at the end of the month! After playgroup Sam and I headed to the DIY store to pick up some parts for our lawn mower and strimmer. It has been a lovely warm day with blue skys today, so we picked Daisy up from school and then spent the next 2.5 hours tidying the garden up, although still got more to do and clear out the shed - oh the glamour of being a house wife!

The little people had dinner, bath, story and bed and then I finished off painting the hallway! First coat was done in Oct 07 so was due for second coat, done the bottom part and the woodwork, just the white to go now! Only taken nearly two years!

Monday

Monday's are always busy for us as Daisy has school and swimming lessons and Sam socca tots but today it was even more busy than usual as Daisy had her bridesmaids dress fitting. Only three weeks to go until Angela's wedding!

Nanny Maureen comes home

This morning we spent it at home relaxing which was a lovely treat. We then headed off to Gatwick to pick Nanny Maureen up from her holiday. The little people were very excited to see their nanny home. Then after taking Nanny shopping it as more relaxing at home!

First day with daddy away...

and it was a busy one! First all three of us laid in bed until 8.30am and then there was a demand for bacon from the little fella so we got up and had breakfast. It was then off to tap and ballet with Daisy, when we got back Jo and Cala popped over for a cup of tea and slice of cake (well they brought the cake), Sam asked to go and see the horses so he went home with Jo and Cala. Daisy had a rehearsal day for her big so was picked up by a school friend to go dancing for the afternoon. I then dropped off all the old baby clothes to the NCT sale and came back and did some houseowork before picking Sam up (he had the best time, was covered in dirt and would not stopping asking where Murphy was once we were home), then we picked up Daisy, then went to the laundrette to dry the three loads of washing I had done and then to the store to get some supplies and finally coming home via the chinese takeaway. It was then dinner, bath, story and an early night for everyone!

Wey hay, chinese takeaway. Unfortunately Daddy is not too keen on chinese so when he goes away it is our treat as the little people love the noddles and rice!

Sam is at the really cute age where his speech is really coming on, all he wants his cuddles and his sense of humour is really starting to come through.

Usual busy week of school, playgroup, dancing, etc.
Monday - Daisy went back to swimming lessons and had a great time, she was jumping in from the side and going right under. She can swim with a float but hopefully will be swimming without one very shortly!

Tuesday - School/playgroup and Daisy had her friend from school, Jelena for tea. Our little fella also decided that he did not want to wear nappies at night either! So first night sleeping without a nappy!

Wednesday - Sam and I went swimming today, he is going in the deep end on his own with his arm bands on (of course I am right by him) - which is great considering a month ago he didnt even want to get in the pool. The one we go to has a rapid which he loves going through and also a pirates ship with a slide! Daisy had dance practice for the big show at The Dome in a few weeks and had a school friend, Jess home for tea afterwards.

Thursday - Was our first parents evening. Daisy's teacher said that she has lots of friends and is very popular but we got the usual Forbes comment of 'She does like to chat alot!' She is doing well, her maths and phonix are on track and she is very very good at art, sometimes prefering to do that than other work! All in all a good report. Cala came over to look after the little people and then we had dinner afterwards and told Daisy what her teacher said, there was silence for a mintue and then Daisy asked 'What was she wearing'? That's our Daisy!

Friday - Was a school and playgroup day and then we went out for dinner with Daddy to Pizza Express. When sam was given the menu straight away he said to the waiter 'Ice Cream please' he wouldnt eat anything until the ice cream came. After a lovely dinner together, it was then time to take Daddy to Ashford International Station as he was going to France snowboarding for the week. Lots of 'I dont want my daddy to go' and 'I want a cuddle from daddy' on the way home.

Sammy boy has done brilliantly with his nappy training and has not had one accident day or night! Well done little fella!

Meet Tamara Parker

Big boy pants!

There were two big things this week, my little fella announced on Sunday that he didnt want to wear nappies anymore but wear pants. All went well Sunday but we had a little accident on Monday morning and to be honest I was dreading it and was tempted to put him back in nappies but I am proud to announce that Sam is now a full time pant wearer! He has been fantastic and says 'wee wee coming' everytime he wants to go, on Friday morning he even took himself off to the toilet without telling us, so a big well done to our Sammy boy. As a treat for doing so well we treated him to the Pepper Pig space ship which he loves and went to sleep with it by his bed the night we gave it to him.

The other big thing was Nanny Anne's birthday on Tuesday so a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nanny. Unfortunatel we were really crap and forgot!! But we made it up to her today as Daisy did a lovely dinner party (she decorated the cake and the table and even waitressed).
