New Year's Eve

This morning we were up and out early hitting town so Daddy could spend his book voucher that he got for Crimbo and I had to get a couple of birthday presents. After town we went to Drusialls which we havent been to in a while but Sam has been wanting to see Thomas so we thought we would brave the cold. We did the usual route of the animals and playpark and then headed inside to the indoor soft play area where we stopped off for some sandwiches (home made of course, there is a credit crunch). We then headed off round the rest of the park finishing with three goes on the Thomas train - and still Sam wanted more! By the time we got back to the car we were all shattered and freezing so throughly enjoyed the left over chocolate fingers from Christmas on the way home.

We then spent the rest of the afternoon at home chilling and doing a couple of chores, picked up the dry cleaning that type of boring stuff before the little people had an early dinner and cuddles in front of the fire watching TV.

We had decided that we wanted to have a quiet new year and not be rushing about like we tend to do the rest of the year so Tim and I had a lovely dinner of steak with peppercorn sauce after the little people were fast a sleep in bed, we then just laid in front of the fire watching tv... bliss. Though we did go to bed before midnight and watched tv in bed, still we did not make it to midnight before falling asleep but at five to midnight I woke up to the tv and found all of the Parker family crammed in our bed (well Daisy, Sam and Tim) - what a great way to start the new year!

Those blinking alarms...

As part of Nanny's christmas present we took her to Kensington Palace in London and then out for lunch. There was meant to be a exhibition of Lady Di's dresses at the palace but it was really disappointing as there were only seven of them. Daisy loved walking round the palace but Sam had other ideas and after setting off the alarms upstairs Tim took him for a walk in Hyde Park.

After the palace we headed over to High Street Ken for lunch and great timing as Sam had fallen asleep so we enjoyed a relaing lunch spending about two hours in the restaurant. When we went in there was a little demonstration outside the embassey and a few police by the time we came out it had turned nasty and there were over 500 of them, the police helicopter was out and the road was closed off so we had to leave quite quickly.... it turned out to be quite an interesting day.

We then walked back through Hyde Park returning to Victoria Station where we stocked up on magazines for the journey home.

Christmas Day

Wishing all our friends and family a very Happy Christmas

Unfortunately I had been awake since 5.30am waiting for the little people to wake up as Father Christmas had been, finally Daisy woke up at ten to eight shouting that he had been which woke Sam up. After collecting the stockings from their bed we headed into our room to open them.

We then headed down stairs as Daisy had asked for a dolls pram and it didnt come in the stocking!!!

FC had also left Sam a Thomas scooter

Nanny and Grandad then came over for breakfast and we opened presents from each other and the little people got their presents from us

Daddy had brought me a clock I have wanted for ages - why the white gloves - the clock is glass and mirror and they come with it so when you put it together it does not mark

After present opening and chilling out at home we headed over to Jo and Murphy's for Christmas dinner picking up Nanny Maureen on the way.

Tim and I are Wii virgins so Uncle Murphy let us play on his, I am chuffed to say I had a Wii age of 46, ok I shouldnt be boasting but I can considering Tim's was 76!!!!

We had a great day and Daisy whispered to me at Aunty Jo's that she was having a great day. So a huge thank you to Daddy for all the presents (and our family and friends that got up presents) and a huge THANK YOU to Jo and Muphy for a lovely Christmas day.

Christmas Eve

Daddy had to work this morning so the little people and I hung out at home doing the last preparations for the big day. We then picked Daddy up and headed over to Frank and Sophie's where all of Daddy's friends were and spent he afternoon there. After lots of playing and a big tea we headed home with two very ecited little people in the back. Once home we prepared for FC, Sam put out the carrot and reindeer food, Daisy did FC a glass of milk and a mince pie, Sam thought it would be really funny to lick all the sugar off the top of the mince pie though! After sprinkling some reindeer glitter in the garden to guide them to our door it was off to bed for the little people whilst the big people chilled out and wrapped the final presents.

This afternoon the little people were whisked away by Uncle Murphy and Aunty Jo this afternoon and boy did they have a great time, there was pizza making, plate painting, chasing the chickens, hanging out with Jay and Cala and then a tour of Sussex checking out the Christmas lights that people have put on there houses (this is a bit of a tradition with Uncle Murphy)

Whilst the little people were being entertained Tim and I sneaked off to the Ginger Pig for a lovely Sunday roast and reading the papers...bliss...thank you Jo and Murphy.

Choo Choo

This morning we hung out at home before heading out at lunch time with a special day out with Nanny Anne and Grandad to Horstead Keys where we were catching a Victorian train. Before we boarded the train we tried our hand at some fun fair games and then it was on board for a ride to Santa's grotto, as part of the trip we were given a hamper of food to nibble on.

After a lovely day we went home and then onto our friends for dinner in the evening. Thankfully the little people are very good and go to sleep even at friends houses.
