New Years Eve 2007

Daddy took Sam to the hairdressers this morning and what should have been a short trim turned in to a very short back and side (shaved) - the good thing is it just shows his handsome little face even more!

We spent the rest of the day at home and our friends Mark and Emma came over with their children Carys and Aston for lunch. The girls had great fun trying out my new popcorn machine. In the afternoon we relaxed and got ready for the big party. Uncle Murphy and Aunty Jo had a Cowboys and Indian party to celebrate the new year. The evening is in pics below:

All it goes to say is a huge THANK YOU to Uncle Murphy and Aunty Jo for a great party. The decor and food were fantastic, well done you guys. Whats the theme for next year?

This morning we chilled at home and Daisy went out on her bike with Daddy. She is really good on it now and went round the block twice. Around midday we headed over to Nanny and Grandads in Seaford for a delicious lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

Spend Spend Spend

Normally on a Thursday the little people go to nursery and the big people go to work. As it is the Christmas holidays Tim is off for the week so the little people went off to nursery and we hit the sales in Brighton. We dropped Daisy and Sam off at 8am and went straight into town which was bliss as it was really quiet and we got some great bargains. Tim got lots of new clothes, I got a new pair of shoes and a bag and Daisy and Sam got treated to some Topsy and Tim books which they love.

We had a lovely pub lunch before heading home and picking the little people up mid afternoon. I did feel guilty that they were at nursery but it meant that Tim and I could have some time together which was nice. The rest of the day was spent chilling and playing at home.


Wednesday 26th December 2007
Boxing Day
We went up to Tim's friends John and Elaine's in London for lunch. The little people had a great day as their house is huge and filled with great toys for their three boys. Sean their eldest took Daisy and Sam under his wing for most of the day so the little people and big people had a great time.

Father Christmas has been...

Of all days for the Parker household to sleep in!!!! We finally woke up at 8.15 with two very excited little people wanting to see if Father Christmas had been so after I put the turkey in the oven (which I was meant to do at 7am) we went to check out the front room and we were not disappointed. Daisy could not believe that he had left snowy foot prints and was very excited to see that she had got her Barbie bike. They loved opening their stockings and all Daisy kept saying was "wow, thank you, he remembered." After the excitment of the stockings we moved on to open our presents to each other, Daddy was very pleased to get a camera for when he goes snowboarding as well as socks, t-shirts, aftershave, snowboard mags, etc. Sammy got some Thomas the tank engine toys and I got some interior mags, cookery book, earrings and a keyring.

Tim parents, his sister and her family and my mum arrived at around midday and it was another round of present opening... I could get used to this! It was then on with the dinner which was a success - thankfully.

The afternoon was spent watching the queens speech, relaxing in front of the tv, more eating, going for a short walk. The little people had a fantastic day and were tucked up in bed nice and early so Daddy and I got to lay on the sofa watching tv all night and eating chocolate.

Christmas Eve 2007

I went out early to pick up our Turkey from the butchers and dropped it off at Nanny Maureen's as she is going to prepare and stuff it with her delicious stuffing. I had booked a facial this morning (a gift from a friend) but it was cancelled at the last minute so I went and joined Tim, Daisy, Sam and our friend Jason for breakfast at the Metropole (or as Daisy calls it, Nanny Maureen's hotel).

It was St Andrew's nativity this afternoon and our little Daisy pops was a star. She loved being on the stage.

After the nativity we headed over to Aunty Debbie's for some nibbles and drinks and Father Christmas (Uncle Keith) paid a visit which made all the children very excited.

When we got home the little people changed into their pj's and we put out a carrot for the reindeer and milk and a mince pie for Father Christmas. Whilst they were sleeping Tim and I made some pate and desserts and set the table for the big feast tomorrow. So all in all a very busy day for the Parker's.

Doesn't feel like a Sunday!

Today I had to get the food for Christmas day so headed off nice and early for the supermarket and I think the whole of Sussex had the same idea. Now yesterday I said it was busy but today was extremely busy - where have all these people come from? Again it took me ages to get round and had to que ages to pay but the good thing about today is I had no little people with me so I read a magazine whilst queing which felt like a bit of a break!

Daisy and Daddy went into town to finish their christmas shopping whilst Sam had a nap and I did some chores. They came back with a srunning bouquet of flowers for me.

Our friend Jason came down for London for a visit and is staying the night so we had an early dinner and chilled out for the rest of the evening

Christmas time with Aunty Angela

We all left the house early this morning as Daddy was taking some clients to see Arsenal play at Highbury and Daisy, Sam and I went into town to get some last minute errands done before Christmas. We then headed over to the supermarket to get some supplies for lunch and I don't think I have ever seen so many people in a supermarket. We queued for 40 mins to pay!!

We then picked Angela up from the station and spent the afternoon chilling at home, eating and opening our Christmas presents to each other. Daisy got lots of little bits mainly High School Musical things and Sammy boy got a great garage which he loves.

It's nearly Christmas...

Wednesday - Daisy was a very lucky lady today as Nanny Maureen took her to see the panto Cinderella at the Theatre Royal in Brighton. She had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the singing and Dancying.

Thursday - was work for the big people and nursery for the little people. Sam and Daisy came home with their folders of what they have been doing so we got to see Sam's first pieces of artwork, I felt very proud of my little fella and the little lady had produced some lovely pieces.

I was invited to one of my clients Christmas party which was at the Hanbury Arms, it is done out really nicely and the theme for the evening was Burlesque, we had a delicious meal and then there was a caberat which was interesting in parts. It was a great night and I finally got home at 3.30am, I thought it was around midnight but Tim was like no way it was gone three. Anyway I danced my shoes off and enjoyed one too many glasses of champagne!

Friday - Oh boy I think I have my first real hangover today. Being a non drinker generally thankfully I have not experienced a bad hangover (well not since my early twentys which was a long time ago) but today I am suffereing. Thankfully by midday and after a can of full fat coke and a packet of salt and vinegar Discos (sugar and salt rush) I started to feel better.

Daisy had her Christmas party at playgroup this morning and got a present from Father Christmas and they sang songs which was really cute.

We were meant to head over to Martine's this afternoon as Merryne and Imogen were coming up from Cornwall but unfortunately their flight was cancelled and Martine was not feeling too good so we stayed home. Daisy went out with Nanny Maureen and Aunty Jo this evening to see the Burning of the clocks in Brighton, Tim and I went out for an indian with our friends Mark and Emma and Sammy boy stayed home with Nanny Anne and Grandad.

Blood everywhere!

Yesterday (Monday) was a quiet day, Daisy went to playgroup, Sam slept whilst I worked and we then we went swimming in the afternoon. Sam went in the pool with arm bands for the first time and loved splashing around. Then it was an early night in the Parker household as everyone was tired from the past few weeks being so busy.

This morning (Tuesday) started off with Sammy boy helping himself to a bauble off the christmas tree and eating it like an apple, unfortunately this time it broke, shattering in his mouth and hands. The result being lots of blood everywhere! Thankfully Daddy was at home to deal with it as I am useless when it comes to blood. He cleaned Sam up and we found a few cuts in his mouth and on his chin but he is ok. When Tim had left for work I found blood hand prints everywhere and his little finger had a cut like a paper cut, trying to put a plaster on a one year old boy is interesting, he now has one with lots of tape so he doesnt take it off and is walking around pointing like ET. He has left the tree alone for most of the day but has decided to pick presents for himself and run off with them laughing!

Uncle Murphy, Aunty Jo and Nanny Maureen took Daisy and Sam out in the car looking at all the Christmas lights, starting in Shoreham and finishing off in Peacehaven, they had a fantastic time although one little lady was not too pleased that all the lights were on Sammy's side so Uncle Murphy had to drive up and down so they were on both sides.

I'll think I'll help myself tothis one!

Daddy's home and it's Friends & Family Day!

Wey hay, Daddy came home in the early hours of this morning from his snowboarding trip. Daisy was very excited and crawled into our bed in the early hours for a cuddle.

Today was Christmas friends and family day at Nanny Maureen's where we all go home the week before christmas as we are normally not all together on the day itself. Daisy and Sam had a great day seeing all their cousins, eating lots of chocolate and opening lots of presents. Thank you to Nanny maureen for a lovely day and to everyone for the great presents.
