Wey hay we came home today!

Although we had a great time and it was lovely to spend some quality time with Nanny Maureen (and there were no arguments between mother and daughter the whole week) it was nice to come home. Centre Parcs was good fun but it is very expensive to do any of the activites and plus there was a limit on things to do for Daisy and Sam's age. After packing up the car we stopped off at Lakeside on the way home for some lunch and retail therapy (we hadn't been near a proper shop in six days). It was then home to the usual grind of washing and housework! Daddy is still snowboarding and we are missing him loads, it was made worse by the fact we were also away as we always have lots of fun with Daddy on holiday.

Thursday - our busiest day so far! After breakfast we all headed off to the swimming pool for some more subtropical fun. We then had a big feast at Bella Pasta before heading back to the villa for a quick nap (well Sam did). We then had tickets to see Jack and Gill at 3pm so it was back to the village. Nanny went off for a line dancing lesson whilst we watched the show and then we all meet up in the village store for chocolate and cake! It was then back to the villa to change before we walked back to the village again for the caberat which consisted off a buffet dinner which surprisling was very tasty and had the showstopper of two very large chocolate fountains - Daisy and Sam could not believe their eyes. After dinner the little people got to show off their dance moves before the show started.

This morning I took Sam swimming on my own as they had a special session for toddlers. It was fun playing in the pool with big inflatable dolphins that Sam loved riding around on. Afterwards we meet up with Nanny and Daisy in Starbucks for tea and cakes before I took Daisy off swimming on our own and Sam went to the parkw ith Nanny. We had a great time trying out all the big slides and rapids (or Waps as Daisy liked to call them) as we couldn't do these with Sam in tow.

After lunch we went for a walk and ended up in the park. Sammy loved the swings and screamed the place down when I took him out and I mean a really high pitch girly scream!!

He is so going to dislike this photo when he is older!

Second day of our hols

We woke up this morning to lovely clear blue skys and had a nice leisurely breakfast. Sam and Daisy were in their element as the ducks were waiting for them at the window when they got up. We went out side to give them bread and Nanny and Daisy got really close, me having a dislike of birds kept my distance. Unfortunately Sam did not quite get feeding the ducks, the first time round we gave him some bread he eat it!! After feeding the ducks we headed off to the subtropical swimming adventure and had a great time in the wave pool, going round the rapids and slides. We were in there for a couple of hours before retiring back to the villa for lunch. The rest of the day was spent relaxing and going for a walk.

HI ho hi ho it's off to Centre Parcs we go...

This morning we picked Nanny Maureen up and headed off for our adventure - Centre Parcs at Elevden Forest in Suffolk. The drive there went really smoothly and the little people were very well behaved. If you arrive before 3pm you have to park up, so we went off to lunch and for our first walk through the forest.

We then headed to our accommodation, thankfully it was very comfortable and clean (you never know what you are going to get with self catering). We were also very pleased to discover that two of the walls in the lounge were floor to ceiling windows over looking the river. After unpacking Sam and I went to park the car in the main car park (as no cars are allowed on site) and took a slow walk back through the little village. The day finished with dinner and an early right for the little people!

Busy day!

For breakfast this morning we sampled Sage and Onion's freshly laid eggs and very nice they were too. We then picked up Nanny Maureen and headed over to see Kelly, Tom, Elsie and Tilley as they are down for the weekend at Aunty Debby's. Daisy stayed with the Turner's whilst Nanny, Sam and I went shopping. She had a great time as Keith took her and Tilley to the beach. Nanny Anne and Grandad were coming over for suppa so they picked her up on the way through. Sammy boy was very excited to see his Grandad as always. Unfortunately no pics of Nanny and Grandad - must get some next time.

It's like Christmas day!

This morning we met Cala in town and treated her to a little breakfast as a thank you for yesterday and then I had to do some shopping for a Baby Shower I am organising which was good as I got retail therapy at the expense of someone else. We then headed home and just hung out for the afternoon, Nanny Maureen dropped by and the little people very excited to see her as she had been away with Aunty Jo and Cousin Jay for a few days in France. Nanny brought Daisy a beautiful hat and Sammy boy some slipper socks.

Later in the afternoon we headed over to Aunty Jo's to say goodbye to Jay as he is off back to the army tomorrow and is off to Afghanistan in a few weeks for six months. Daisy and Sam were spoilt by Jay and his girlfriend Kelly as they had brought them Easter presents - Daisy got a High School Musical cushion what she absolutely loves and is in bed with it as I write the blog and Sammy boy (Daddy and Uncle David won't be too pleased) got a Brighton and Hove Albion football shirt which he looks really cute in so a huge THANK YOU to Jay and Kelly for such lovely presents. Aunty Jo also dished out some chocolate creme eggs, some eggs from Sage and Onion for breakfast tomorrow and a little pocket money for Daisy and Sam for their holiday next week so another huge THANK YOU - we felt totally spoilt after our visit.

It was hard to say goodbye to Jay as we are not going to see him for a long time and of course where he is going. Jay if you read this, we love you lots and are going to miss you loads. Be safe and we can't wait for you to come home.

Daddy's off again

Well it was a sad start to the day as we waved Daddy off to work this morning but we wont see him until next Saturday as he is off snowboarding for a week. We are really going to miss him - Timmy boy when you read this - we love you loads and can't wait for you to come home (he hasnt even left the country yet)!

After waving Daddy off, we headed over to Drusillas to meet Emma, Carys and Aston. We have not been since Sam has discovered Thomas the Tank Engine so I was looking forward to seeing his reaction as they have a Thomas train that holds about fourty people and goes round the zoo. Sam has been on it many times before but not since he fell in love with Thomas. Daisy loved hanging out with her friend Carys and checking out all the animals. Thankfully the rain held off so we had our picnic lunch and then headed indoors to the big play area. On the way out we passed the small Thomas ride so of course there was a go on that and then a good look round Thomas shop where Sam was lucky enough to score a new Thomas the Tank Engine Football.

After all being Thomas'd out we headed home and the little people fell alseep and I even managed to carry them in doors asleep so I got to chill for an hour before Cala came over for a cup of tea and a gossip. I then had to dash off to a client meeting (for a wedding) for what was meant to be half an hour but ended up being an hour so a huge THANK YOU to Cala for watching the little people for me.

This morning we hung out at home and then headed over to Martine and Lucas's for a play date. Daisy had a great time playing and Sam could not believe his eyes when he say Lucas electric Thomas the Tank Engine train set! Although he is still a little young for it as he wanted to chase after the engines which involved walking on the track - not good!

Martine did a lovely lunch and after more playing we headed home. Sam had a nap whilst Daisy watched one of her new Barbie dvd's from cousin Bobby and I did some chores. I seem to behind on everything at the moment as when I should normally be tidying and cleaning I have been decluttering the house but hopefully should be back on track within a week and then it will be on with touching up the paintwork.

Uncle David, Aunty Dawn and cousins Mia and Bob came to visit today and they brought Aunty Debby with them who is poorly at the moment with her eye so we hope she gets well soon. After coffee and homemade cakes by Daisy we strolled along the beach before stopping off for pizza and returning home via the park. Daisy and Sam had a great time with their cousins and if that wasnt enough Nanny Maureen, Uncle Murphy, Aunty Jo, cousins Cala and Jay with his new girlfriend Kelly joined us in the evening for a fish and chip suppa.

We picked Daddy up from work yesterday and headed up to the Milton Keynes Hilton Hotel to meet Nanny Maureen (we finally got there after a four hour drive)! Daddy went snowboarding at the snowdome and Daisy and Sam loved watching him, whilst he was boarding we popped off for some dinner and I must say (warning bragging mum) even after fours hours in the car (which they were excellent) and one hour past their bedtime they both behaved perfectly in the restaurant, Sam eat his dinner plus half of mine. We then went back to watch Daddy do some more boarding before heading back to the hotel.

The little people slept in Nanny Maureen's room so Tim and I had a bit of a lay in and meet them for breakfast, after a feast of fruit, cereal and a cooked breakfast we all went swimming. We then left Nanny at the hotel as she was seeing some friends over the weekend. Our drive home was great (only took two hours) and then Tim took the little people to Nanny Anne's so that I could get on with some chores, mainly decluttering their toys!

We then went over to Aunty Jo's and Uncle Murphy's for a bbq to celebrate cousin Jay being home for the army.
