The English know how to do it!

Wow, those Windsor's know how to put on a wedding. The Parker household was up nice, bright and early this morning with wedding fever. The television coverage started at 8am GMT and we were glued, well OK I was glued to it keeping one eye on the television whilst I prepared our wedding feast of a fine English Tea served upon the most beautiful English vintage china from www.teacupsandtiaras.co.uk

Cala arrived around 9am and we put on our English roses, tiara's and had our flags at the ready. Marie our neighbour joined us along with Andy. It was a truly royal affair.

I thought Kate Middleton looked stunning, yes she played it safe with her dress but I think this was the right way to go as future queen of our country. I thought it was fantastically run with surpurb taste and it was nice to see the Royal Family show their emotions. As Will and Kate said "I do" we cracked open the bubbly and enjoyed our traditional English Tea.

It was then up to Aunty Jo's for their street, good old English fun - welly throwing, tug of war, bouncy castle, etc. Back home in time for me to be glued to the highlights for the rest of the evening.

We have every right to be proud to be English today!

One of those lovely unexpected conversations

I always seem to have the best conversations with my children when they are on the toilet?

Tonight I was in the bath and Daisy was on the toilet and she announced that she loves her Nanny Maureen so so much, I asked why and to which she replied there are lots of reasons, so I asked her to list them:

1. She is kind
2. She loves me so much
3. She gives me cuddles
4. She trys really hard to take care of me
5. She looks really good for a Nanny, some Nanny's younger than her do not look so good
6. She just knows what I love
7. We both love dancing and reading
8. I just love her because I do

This conversation really made me smile and we are very lucky to have grand parents living so close.

Happy Easter

Easter Sunday bought us another fantastic day of sunshine. The little people and Daddy went to church whilst I caught up with the ironing and then we all went over to Nanny Anne's and Grandad's for lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt. Sammy boy was very interested in the Easter Bunny this year and couldnt believe that they had been to Nanny and Grandad's garden.

A fantastic Good Friday

The Easter Break started off fantastically this morning. After a nice lay in by all the Parker Family, Daddy headed off to the skate park whilst the little people and I cuddled up in bed and got ready for the beach. The sun was out so we decided to take our breakfast of hot cross buns down to the beach. The tide was still out so the little people had great fun playing with the sand and having the first dip of the year.

We came home, had a quick changed and then popped round to our friend's Mark and Emma for a delicious bbq and spent the afternoon chilling, chatting and eating whilst the children played.

When we got back we washed the Parker fleet which took ages as we are not too good at keeping our cars clean! It was then more 'belaxing' as Samuel would say before cuddles, bath and bed.

Nymans Gardens

We spent the day at Nymans Gardens with Daisy good friend Judah, his sister and mum Kathy. It was fantastic weather so we got to enjoy a picnic in the beautiful gardens and take part in an Easter Egg Hunt which the little people were most chuffed about.

Charlie's Big Day - Friday 15th April 2011

Charlie and Kimberley were married today at Holy Trinity Church in Hurstpierpoint and the reception was at the beautiful Newick Park. Our little fella was extremely handsome as page boy. It was a fantastic day and the little people loved spending time with their family. Daisy and her 2nd cousin Matilda were stuck together like glue all day and all the little people were throwing some shapes on the dance floor. Grab a cuppa there are a lot of pics :)
