A week at home!

For the first time in a long time I can say we have had a chilled week as I have not been working so I have been at home everyday with the little people for most of the week.

Sam has thankfully made a full recovery and we have had lots of fun playing with trains, learning new words and having lots of cuddles (plus a trip to Ikea which he slept all the way through) as he has not been in nursery this week.

We had a few wobbles with Daisy at school in that she didnt want to go anymore, telling me that now she can count to 20 she doesnt need to go and why could she not wear her HSM t-shirt under her school uniform. Thankfully these wobbles only lasted a couple of days and she is back to loving school.

I did go to work today and Sam took a cake into nursery for his birthday which he was very excited about as he walked in all he did was shout 'cake, cake' over and over again. I had quite a nice work day, lunch at Simpsons on the Strand and then a VIP tour of Chelsea Football Club (all in the name of research for my job of course) days like today is why I love my job!

The great thing about now is.... the house is tidy, the children are asleep and Tim and I are going to cuddle up on the sofa and enjoy a movie! Fantastic!

Yep! Another busy one! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO

Another busy week but the last for a while - wey hay! I had an event on Thursday at the London Hilton Park Lane and Cala came along as her company were the principal sponsor so it was nice to have her there. Daisy is really enjoying school and has made some new friends which she talks about quite a bit.

I returned from work on Friday to pick Sam up from nursery and unfortunately within five minutes he had really gone down hill and was quite poorly so much so that I called an ambalance when we got home, they arrived very quickly and confirmed that he was indeed very poorly and would need to go to hospital. So it was off in the ambalance with the blue lights flashing and the siren going which was a first time for both Sam and I. Sam was checked out by a number of doctors and at first there was a worry it might be meningitis as he had most of the signs including a temp of 40+ but thankfully after an examination and a chest x-ray it was confirmed as a chest infection and because of his temp he had to stay in and have drugs via a drip in his arm. He was so very brave and Tim and I were very lucky to have Aunty Jo at our side at the hospital to keep us calm whilst we were going through all this. Lucky Daisy got to hang out with Cala and check out her new man although when I tried to get the gossip about the new boyfriend that no one has met yesterday from Daisy she was like: " cannot remember " Cala has her well trained.

As Sam was in hospital overnight, Daisy had her first sleep over at somebody elses house and that was Aunty Jo's and had a fantastic time. So got to sleep in Cala's bed and eat Victoria Sponge for breakfast and pizza for lunch. Thankfully Sam was discharge this afternoon so we picked Daisy up from Jo's and on the way home I was informed that Aunty Jo said Daisy could stay anytime and then asked if we could turn around so she could stay again tonight!

Couple of sad things about today:

1. It was Tim's best friends wedding which unfortunately we could not go to but as Sam came home this afternoon Tim has gone up for a few hour this evening

2. It is Aunty Jo's birthday and we didn't even give her a card and present due to our recent dramas but we will make it up to her

Everyweek is always busy!

Everytime I start the blog I go to start with 'what a busy week'. Every week is manic for us at the moment as I am near enough working full time for one client and still having other clients whilst juggling little people, husband and house. My contract with my main client is ending in December and even though I was offered the role full time I am going to return to being a housewife and mummy (with only a small amount of work on the side) - bliss cannot wait - morning TV hear I come. As much as it is nice to have the extra money I really feel like I am missing out on the children growing up at the moment. Anyway as I said at the beginning another manic week, I had an event, the little people their activites and Daddy busy at work whilst also turning into Super Dad/Husband helping me out. Nothing exciting to report this week or weekend, thankfully the weekend was pretty chilled with Daddy and I going out to the movies and dinner Saturday night and then we did a car boot sale on Sunday morning.

Daisy loving her tutu that Nanny Maureen brought back for her holidays in America. Both Daisy and Sam were very excited to see their Nanny Maureen home after not seeing her for nearly 2.5 weeks.

The suite that I had at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London, although the hall wall paper was a little harsh on the eyes, it was quite weird staying in a hotel and having four rooms. One of the perks of my job is staying in nice hotels but unfortunately on my own as it is on event days and Tim is at home looking after the little people.

Wow what a busy week. What with both big people working and mummy helping with the church fair, Daisy starting school and Sammy boy just being cute we havent had much time for relaxing but today was different we just chilled at home before going to Aunty Jo's for a yummy roast dinner and to collect our breakfast eggs - thank you Aunty Jo & Uncle Murphy.

Last night we had friends over and got a Thai takeover, it was two other couples that we have known for a while with children the same age as Daisy and Sam. As all six little people slept upstairs there was lots of drinking, eating and laughing downstairs from the six big people.

Daisy has loved her first three days at school, so much so she has fallen asleep every afternoon. The first thing she asked when she woke on Saturday was is she going to school today. I think we will have to remind her that in a few years when she doesnt want to go. She even pretended she had homework on Friday!!!!

Sammy boy has been chatting away with lots of new words. Recently he has told me I am very funny. When you ask him his name he says 'Spam' (that's the way he says Sam). Other things he has said /asked recently is: Who's that. Umm lovely. Mumma, did pooh pooh. Can I have. Ank you (Thank you). Juice pleaseeeeeeeee. Where nanny. It's raining (which seems to be favourite at the moment).

Today he got the potty out of the bathroom with no promting and then took his nappy off and kept sitting on it, a few times I sat with him but nothing happened, then later on in the day I was in the garden and I heard this 'Mamma look, Mamma look' so I came dashing in thinking something was wrong to find my little fella had done a pooh pooh on the potty all by his self. he was very proud of himself and then spent the next half hour getting nearly every tissue in the house to wipe his bottom! Not sure if this is the start of no nappies (I think he is a little young) but happy for him to take the lead.

Nanny Maureen returns from her holiday on Tuesday and I know there will be two little people that will be very excited to see her. They have both missed her loads and once when telling Daisy off in the week, between sobs she said 'I need my Nanny Maureen'.

IT'S OFFICIAL.....

our little lady is a school girl. This morning was her first day at school. Daddy, Sam and I dropped her off. On the walk up she was asking lots of questions and I was worried she was starting to get nervous but we went into her class and she was given a name badge and then we were shown her peg and draw, she then had to pick her name out and put it in the basket and then she was off playing as if she has been going everyday. I think I was more emotional than she was, so Sam and I headed home via the park and Daddy went to work.

Nanny and Grandad came over so we could go for a celebratory lunch,a lthough I was a little longer than expected picking her up as I had to see the teacher afterwards as we were away for our home visit and whilst we were having a chat the fire alarm went off and the fireman arrived, thankfully it was a false alarm but Daisy loved standing in the playground with the teachers watching the fireman search the building.

We then went off to lunch and a quick look around Toys R Us which actually was more a long look and Daisy scored a new outfit for her doll and we picked out Sam's b-day present from Nanny and Grandad - what an exciting day!

Today it was a usual Tuesday in the Parker household, work for big people and nursery for little people other than that it is the last day that our little lady attends nursery all day as she will be starting school tomorrow. I cannot believe that she is old enough to be going to school it only seems like yesterday she was born. She is very excited about starting school and espically about wearing a uniform.
