Samuel's first drum lesson

Samuel has been asking for drumming lessons for as long as I can remember, he currently has a piano lesson with his Grandad once a week and can play the violin (he cannot read music but can play along to a track) but it is the drums he is desperate to learn to play.

At our church the pastures son, Jamie is a musician and plays the drums at church. We are very lucky as they have a full musical set up at the church. Samuel is Jamie's no 1 fan so we finally arranged at Christmas for Samuel to start lessons in the new year.

So at 3.45pm with his drum sticks and ear defenders Samuel aged 5 yrs and 3mths, climbed up the steps to the drum box for his first ever drum lesson (on a set of drums that cost £4k - yik's) and had the best time ever. He did not stop smiling from beginning to end.

I am glad we have found something for him to take part in as he thinks football training is too rough and karate too dangerous!!
