I love the things my little fella says

Our little fella is a real character, loves classical music and steam trains but is also a classic boy shouting, running and loves being involved in rough and tumble. He has so much energy he can be quite exhausting but thankfully has such a loving, sweet and fun personality to make up for it.

Since Christmas he has really calmed down, he is now doing everything himself like most 5yrs olds do; getting dressed, showering, brushing his teeth, etc. Before Christmas we had to ask about 4 times and then end up helping him just to speed up the process but it seems he has also chilled out which has made life less tiring for us!

The other night whilst we were lying in bed after story time, he told me that he loved me so much and the reasons were because of my beautiful face and I was funny. I am not afraid to say my heart melted. Normally I would not share such private incidents but I loved this so much that I wanted to write it down as I know one day along with the busy life we lead I will probably forget this incident and it will be so nice to read it back in years to come.
