When we arrived at the shop, there was a young lad sorting out the trees and he couldn't have been more helpful if he tried. Although I think he took a liking to Sam as the first thing Sam did was go up to the lad and say 'we need a really nice Christmas tree, the best one.' Our little fella sometimes sounds like a 3 year old going on 70!
Sam helped Daddy carry the tree to the car. It was quite late when we got home so it was a quick dinner and then off to bed. Daddy and I had the pleasure of hunting for the tree stand in the shed in the pouring rain and dark.
We then decorated the tree but have left the robin for Daisy to put on and Daddy will put the fairy on the top when we are all together in the morning. It's tradition that Daddy's finishes the tree and we all stand and clap!
Our tree is about 7ft tall but unfortunately has a gap on the bottom right side, thankfully we have a large present to fill the gap! As Tim says if you want a real tree it wont be perfect (but we had a perfect one last year).
