Thomas Land

This week end we headed to the middle of England... Birmingham! On the way we stopped off at Bicester Designer Outlet Village for some lunch and window shopping. We then made our way to the Hilton Metropole NEC which was our home for the night, they have a great swimming pool and the little people loved swimming with not only Mummy but Daddy and Nanny Maureen too. It was then suppa of the best chips we had ever tasted!!

Daddy went off snowboarding at the indoor dome at Tamworth and returned back to the hotel about 1.30am feeling rather sorry for himself as he had taken a hit to the head and his helmet came off. Being panic button parker he couldnt sleep as he was worried about his head injury! So at 1.45am the little people were carried off to Nanny Maureen's room and we made our way to Solihull A&E where we spent an hour before being told that Tim was perfectly fine.

After a few hours sleep we collected the little people and headed off for a feast of a breakfast before leaving the hotel for (what we had really come up all this way for)... Thomas Land. There is a Thomas the Tank Engine theme park within Drayton Manor which is a big theme park in Tamworth. Sam was beside himself with excitement. We spent the first few hours going on every ride themed Thomas, before seeing the little miniture railway where they film Thomas before a spot of lunch, walking through the zoo and trying out some of the other rides.

We left the park around 3pm dreading the journey home round the M25 and we were prepared with lots of snacks but thankfully it was a clear run home.

One of the normal rides at Drayton Manor, Sam went on with Nanny Maureen

Daisy loved this ride and Sam wanted to go on it as well... did he like it? See pic below

Sammy boy not loving the naughty trucks mini roller coaster. Although he cried all of ten seconds and then loved the rest of it. Mind you when we got off he said 'me not like them trucks'
