Rehearsal Time

Ohhhh the excitement is building, today was the rehearsal for Charlie and Kimberley's wedding, the little people did great and I just hope that the little fella is ok for tomorrow and nerves do not get the better of him. We met Charlie's best man 'Loz' and he was great putting Samuel at ease. Conversation in the car on the way home: Daisy: "Sam are you nervous" Samuel: "No, I am going to be with my mate Loz"

3 days to go and we are all sorted

Today we chilled at home and then met up with Charlie for the big suit try on. Samuel is a page boy at Charlie and Kimberley's wedding on Friday. It was then a mad dash round the shops for the right shirt and shoes, thankfully we found what we needed and the little fella's suit is now complete and he is going be such a bobby dazzler!

Second Brighton Marathon 2011

How lucky are we the Brighton Marathon goes right past the end of our road! It is it's 2nd year and I was able to watch it - I was running it last year. Daisy, Samuel and I went to the bottom of our road just after 10am to see the first runner go past, he later went on to win it in 2hrs 16mins. We hung out with our neighbours and some of Daisy's school friends cheering on the runners and waiting for Kelly Ireland to run past. We then popped home, grabbed our picnic and made our way to the beach to cheer Kelly and the runners on as they made their way to the finishing line. The little people were great cheering people on, Samuel's fav were "Not far to go", "well done" and "keep running" very cute to see and hear. On the walk back home the main road at the bottom of ours was still closed and the little people thought it was very funny that they could sit/walk in the middle of what is normally a very busy road. After the fun of the marathon we headed up to Aunty Jo's and Uncle Murphy's for a celebratory BBQ - one for Kelly finishing and one for Murphy's sisters 60th birthday. Murphy entertained the little people by opening his bar. A great day was had by all.

Chessington World of Adventure

After dropping Daisy off at school the little fella and I spent the day at Chessington World of Adventure. It was a beautiful sunny day and thankfully the park was empty we didn't have to que for any rides which was great. We started off gently as Samuel isn't that keen on fast rides or so I thought and then he had his first go on the Runaway Train - 6 rides later I can confirm that he does like fast rides. We spent the morning going on all the rides and then we had lunch whilst watching the sea lion show which unfortunately wasnt up too much. After lunch we had a look around the Zoo and some people were complaining that the animals were not out and boy were we lucky as we walked round the Tigers came out and kept walking right up to the viewing window, then we wento see the Lion's and the Daddy Lion stood on his wooden platform for 5 minutes and roared - it was amazing to see. Then on to the Ape's were the whole family were out and having play fights, Samuel could bearly stand up from laughing whilst watching them. After the zoo and the sealife centre we went on more rides, all the photos are below. We then stopped off at Uncle David's so Samuel could have a spot of tea and also to say hi to the family and then it was home time. The little fella was fast asleep before we even got to the end of the road. I had a great day with my little fella, he was great company and as good as gold.

Happy Mothers Day

This morning I was woken up (in Samuel's bed as he was having a bad dream in the night and I got in for a cuddle and ended up staying there) by two little people and Daddy bearing gifts. I got beautiful cards made by Daisy and Samuel and a lovely bottle of perfume, flowers and mint chocolates. As you can see in one of the photos Samuel took no time to tuck into the chocolates. The rest of Mother's Day was spent chilling at home, a lazy lunch, the in-laws and my mum popping in and prepping the garden ready for the cobbles to arrive.
