Fifth day of Christmas
we finished Daisy's room!
This summer we had students so Daisy moved into Samuel's bedroom. Her paint work was looking a little tired as her room hadnt been decorated since she was one so before she moved back in I thought I would paint it. I also managed to get some lovely curtains and a matching rug in the Laura Ashley sale and with a new lamp it was on its way to being a Princess's room.
It used to be painted in two colours so I decided to tone it down a bit and just do it in a very pale lilic and then dress it with the pink check curtains and rug. Daddy and Samuel did the last bit today, putting up the curtain pole - boys work - such hard work that they both had to take their tops off!

Fourth day of Christmas
was a mummy day. I got to escape and go off with my sister Jo, niece Cala and my lovely mum to go shopping in Westfields (a great big shopping centre), London. We had a lovely day, I didnt buy much just a pair of jeans and a couple of Chrimbo pressies for Tim. It was a real mixture of shops - High end design; far too expensive for me, Top end of Hight Street; nice for when I go out but not for the school run and High Street; great as although we have some of the stores in Brighton these were far bigger with a better range. Jo did us proud and shopped till you drop with Nanny Maureen and Cala following behind with a few purchases.
It was then a dash home to one of my friends b-day parties, one of the mums from school was having a little birthday gathering at her house. It was lovely to see everyone in an enviroment where we could talk and not have little people butting in or running off!
In between London and night out I said a quick hi to the little people and had cuddles and saw a T&T order out.
Whilst I was away today having fun, Tim was super Daddy. He took Daisy to dancing and he and Sam had breakfast out, they then went over to Nan & Grandad's before heading to the park and then onto Monkey Business (the fun doesnt stop with Daddy). Unfortunately there was a little accident at Monkey Business, Daddy knocking himself out on the climbing frame! Now has a big scar on his forehead and rather a sore head.
A big THANK YOU to Daddy for looking after the little people today whilst I went out and played.

Third day of Christmas
Due to the heavy snowfall school and playgroup were closed today so after our shutters were fitted - yes they have finally arrived and look lovely in the front of the house (photos to follow) - we went into town on the bus to do some Christmas shopping and meet Nanny Maureen for lunch. We also saw Aunty Jo which was a lovely surprise. We were in town so late we got to see the Christmas lights and the little people got to admire the chocolate shop (see pic above) where everything and I mean everything is made out of chocolate.

Second day of Christmas
The past few days the news has been full of how the country is struggling with snow, I couldnt really understand it as we had only had a dusting yesterday but then this morning we woke to about a foot of it. School, work was cancelled and the whole town comes to a stop!
Tim and Daisy were up and out at 7.30am building a snowman. We got a text saying that Samuel's playgroup was open so Samuel and Tim wrapped up super warm and walked to playgroup whilst Daisy and I hung out at home. When Daddy got back he went off snowboarding up on the Dyke.
At lunch time Daisy and I dug the wagon out of the shed and went off to collect our little fella from playgroup, we did a spot of food shopping on the way. When we got back Samuel and I prepared lunch, meatballs just in time for when Daddy got home.
Samuel is super excited about Christmas and has been desperate to get the decorations and tree put up so this afternoon we emptied the loft of our decorations and the little people put up and decorated their christmas tree in the kitchen (we have a real one in the lounge). Samuel took great care and detail in placing the decorations which was very sweet to watch and then we did the big light switch on: 5,4,3,2,1....Da Daaaaaaaa
The rest of the day was spent snuggled on the sofa watching Christmas films.
