It's been a long long time since I updated the blog, the longest ever I think. November was a busy month with Tea Cups & Tiaras parties, corporate work, the little people's social life's, house, tummy bugs, etc.
I was getting organised for Christmas but that was brought to a stand still with just getting on with life and here we are 11.28pm on Sunday 4th December.
I was all on track with my Christmas hat on and then Friday 25th November whilst Tim and I were out for the evening for our work do the tummy bug hit the Parker Family starting with Sammy boy decorating his bedroom with the contents of his tummy. Thankfully Nanny Maureen was here but my night was cut short.
The next day was madness with T&T parties one in Tunbridge Wells and one in London. Daisy came with me and we combined this with a wedding dress fitting with Cala and dinner at Aunty Dawn's whilst the boys stayed home to recover.
Tuesday, Timmy boy came down with it! Wednesday, I came down with it and then finally Daisy on Friday. It was only a 24hr bug (unfortunately not long enough to lose any lbs).
Thankfully Daisy had made a recovery so could go to Paultons Park with Aunty Jo & Uncle Murphy on the Saturday to see Father Christmas. Tim and I planned to go to Tunbridge Wells for a romantic stroll around the shops but those plans were laid to rest after a row in the middle of the high street which resulted in both of us returning to the car!! We got lost on the way home but by the time we reached Hove we were friends again and enjoyed lunch in Hove! So much for a romantic day :(
Today we were meant to be getting our tree but I have lost my Christmas mojo (hopefully only temporary) plus we had things to do and Samuel had a party blur blur blur. I like to do my Christmas tree without rushing so I think it was a good choice.
A highlight of our week was the Marlets Santa Bus coming down our road on Thursday, the little fella boy was super excited and I thought his arm was going to fall off with so much waving. I can see in our little ladies mind that she is questioning the whole Father Christmas thing and my answer is you have to believe, if you don't believe there is no stocking. I think this may be our last year with Daisy but I have come across a wonderful way to tell her all about Father Christmas and although I don't want the magic to end, this way to tell means the magic will continue for ever.
Life is pretty manic for us in the coming weeks.... bring on the festivities
