Action at Sea

The little people and Tim headed off to church and I had a nice relaxing morning at home, no housework, no admin, no teacups work just chilling (OK I did do a couple of loads of washing but it was sunny outside so great drying weather).

Daisy had a lunch date with one of her friends from church so and the fellas and I decided to go for a walk round the marina and actually complete the arm walk by getting to the end (we normally make it half way round and get bored and turn around). Sammy boy loved looking at the boats, the weather was lovely and the sea quite calm when we started out but very quickly the sea turned and the waves were bashing up against the marina wall (which Sam loved watching) - we made it to the end of the arm and as we walked back we noticed a very nice motor boat very close to the marina wall, it didnt take long to realise they were in trouble as their engine had broken down and they were getting closer and closer to the wall. We found out that the life guard had been called but whilst waiting we witnessed the boat bashing against the wall and the family on board very scared shouting help. I felt totally useless but there was nothing we could do as it was too dangerous to get in the water. The boat was rolling side to side and bashing into the marina wall when the RNLI turned up and saved the day, within minutes the family were pulled to safety. We are very lucky to have a emergency service like the RNLI which I understand is mainly run by volunteers.

After all this action we headed home to pick up Daisy. Cala came round late afternoon and asked Daisy to be her bridesmaid, which Daisy was over the moon about.

Daddy then decided it was time for Sammy boy to have a hair cut! Unfortunately the clippers broke down half way through but thankfully (for Samuel) Daddy fixed them and we could finish the hair cut!
