Fantastic daughter

I was woken by the little lady this morning telling me that breakfast was ready! I went down stairs and she had laid out the table with crockery and cereal, etc. She had emptied the dish washer, swept the floor and tidied up the area where they do drawing. I couldnt quite believe it and was so surprised, whilst eating breakfast she said to me that she wanted to help me as she knows I had a bad day yesterday with work, etc. Part of me swelled with pride that she had done such a lovely thing and part of me felt crap that she knew I was having such a bad day - but I suppose they have got to learn that life isnt always easy.

Anyway today was much better, after breakfast the little people had school/playgroup and I got to spend the day at home catching up (although I could do with a week right now) - it was so nice to start to get back on top of things without the worry of a corporate deadline. We also got some T&T bookings so was nice to deal with those without worrying my corporate client would get pissed off I was talking in their time.

One problem we do have at home is storage, what with the new business we really need to look at this. In an ideal world we would put an extension on the side of the kitchen which would become a utility room and my office.... ohhh I can so dream. The sad thing is I have even worked out the storage for it and have it all planned out in my mind - just need to win the lottery now.

The day finished with us going to swimming lessons and a nice dinner with lots of cuddles before bedtime.
