The beginning of the week we stayed in London with Nanny Maureen in a really posh hotel on one end of Westminster Bridge. We travelled up by train on Monday and spent the day exploring by foot (Horseguards Parade, Downing Street, Southbank, Big Ben), going to the Transport musuem in Convent Garden - which I must say was a pleasent few hours and would recommend a visit.
We were all tired and hungary so we headed off to Pizza Express for a feast. We then got a call from Aunty Debby and we meet her and 2nd cousins Elsie and Tilly in the park by the London Eye for a celebration of cake and tea for Elsie's actual birthday. It was then back to our luxury hotel for a rest.
Tuesday, Nanny Maureen and Aunty Debby looked after the little people whilst I had a business meeting with about some work with a corporate client, they had fun in the Florence Nightingale muesuem, afterwards unfortunately the weather was not kind but we did manage a few hours at the beautiful Princess of Wales Playground at Hyde Park - I would recommend this to anyone with children it is the best free playground ever. Due to the rain we headed back to our hotel for a swim via the Disney store in Oxford Street.
Our last day was spent watching the changing of the guard, lunch in St James Park and doing things we shouldn't (like climbing the lions) in Trafalgar Square before heading home on the train.
A huge THANK YOU to Nanny Maureen for a great few days. xxxx
