Friends and family day

Today was Mum's/Nanny Maureen's friends and family day. It seemed quite tam and quiet compare to previous years but was still a good day. The antics of present opening madness, Carl and David trying to make the little people sick on chocolate, 10 second seat rule, eating lunch balanced on your lap and the boys escaping to the pub all happened as usual.

Daisy and Samuel got some lovely presents. Daisy got the lap top she has been desperate for from Nanny Maureen and Sam got some clothes and half of his scooter (the other half was for his bday). Cala got him some Thomas trains which he loves and Daisy got some more furniture for her dolls house. From Aunty Jo and Aunty Murphy Sam got a Thomas book and Daisy got clothes. From Aunty Debby and Uncle Keith they got vouchers. From Aunty Dawn and Uncle David they got clothes. From Uncle Carl and Aunty Gill they got some cool games and a robort building kit and from Kelly, Daisy got a puzzel and Sam a book. How spoilt were they! Tim and I also scored some nice presents.

Mum cooked a roast dinner which was delicious, we had traditional turkey and mum's scrummy chestnut and sausage meat stuffing which is a firm family favourite. With 30 of us crammed into mum's front room (and a 10 sec seat rule) Christmas lunch is served buffet style, on paper it shouldnt work but it just does, there are people everywhere with plates balancing! We had Christmas pud, custard, cornflake tart (must ask mum to make one for Christmas day) and other sweet treats for dessert.

The little people love spending time with their family, unfortunately Katie and Jenny could not make it but we hope to see them before Christmas.

THANK YOU MUM FOR A GREAT DAY AND THANK YOU TO THE REST OF THE FAMILY FOR OUR LOVELY PRESENTS

Aunty Murphy (as Sam likes to call him) is never first in line for food and today he was, it was a shocker so we had to take a picture
