I dropped Sam off at Aunty Jo's as Daddy and Daisy were going off to church whilst I was doing the race. Jo, Murphy and Sam were at the turn around point of the race to cheer us on which was a great support. After the race it was back to Jo's for the best breakfast I have ever tasted and probably the most bacon Sam has ever eaten in one go... I think four slices of bacon, two sausages, seconds on beans and scrambled egg. The little fella must have been starving.
We then headed home to meet up with Daddy and Daisy and chilled for a few hours in front of the tv and playing with various toys. 'Grumpy' formally know as Daddy went for a nap and we were all getting abit of cabin fever so I made a flask of hot chocolate, packed the picnic blanket and chocolate fingers and the little people and I went on an adventure. First stop was Shoreham Beach for a snack, some pebble throwing into the sea and collecting shells. We then walked along the beach admiring the houses and beach huts (we havent been to this part of Shoreham Beach before) and then headed home through Shoreham Airport, Sam was most excited espically when I stopped so we could watch the light aircrafts land.
It was then home for a slap up roast dinner and an early night. What a great weekend was had by all.
Saturday was music day in the Parker household!
Cala had promised Daisy that if she keeps her room tidy that she would take her out for the day and today was the day. So I dropped Daisy off at Cala's and they went off bowling and then into town shopping. Sammy boy got taken out by Nanny Maureen and they went to the movies and then to a visit to Brighton police station where Sam got to see the inside of the station and the police cars. With both little people occupied Tim and I were free for the afternoon so we headed into town and managed to arrive at Jamie Oliver's restaurant at just the right time so we didnt have to que which was great. We enjoyed a nice leisurely and peaceful lunch before strolling round the shops finishing off in Starbucks in Border's drinking tea and reading all the magazines for free - does life get any better?
Our peace for the afternoon soon ended around 4pm and we were reunited with our little people. Cala was also having a sleepover as Tim and I were going to friends for dinner. Both Daisy and Sam were very excited about Cala sleeping over and probably spent at least half an hour discussing or should I say argueing about who's room she was going to sleep in.
Tim and I had a lovely evening at Ben and Dinah's - lots of laughs and the birth of 'Strip & Dine'!!! It all started with me saying why dont we have a 'Come dine with me' dinner party and by the end of the conversation we were bearly able to talk with laughter and the boys had come up with 'Strip & Dine'! More to follow...
