Apples and violin's

Sammy boy was rescued by Grandad today and whisked off to his favourite place, Bluebell Railway they even managed a quick visit to Paradise Park as well. Sam loves Bluebell Railway and is fortunate that his Grandad Frank takes him about once a week. He knows how steam trains work, all about the engine sheds and now knows all the staff as well, his favourite being 'Dave'.

When they got back Grandad gave both Daisy and Sam a quick violin lesson before heading home. Whilst the little people were out I had the biggest pile of cooking apples that I had to find something to do with, so I peeled and bagged some of them for the freezer and then trawled through my cook books for some apple recipes. The had to be recipes that I had all the ingrediants for in the cupboard as I didnt fancy venturing out in the rain. Thankfully I stumbled across two delicious recipes Apple cake and Apple loaf - very inspiring names!! The apple loaf proved a great hit with everyone.
