Big day in the Parker household

Sammy Boy had his first day at nursery. He will go every Thursday with Daisy and I will spend the day at a clients office working. I was dreading leaving him as he has become quite mummy-fied at the moment. Tim and I droped them off and Sam got quite upset but I rang ten minutes later and he was fine and playing. When I rang later in the day he was asleep so so far so good.

I am very lucky with my main client as they have been really flexible whilst I was on maternity leave and with Sam's first year. It is nice to be back in the office as I get to gossip with the girls. I also realise how unfashionable I am these days (they are young trendy PR ladies).

When I picked the little people up, Sam was over the moon to see me and started clapping - which was a great welcome. For a first day they said he was really good. He was a little upset in the afternoon but once he was out in the garden playing in the mud and running around he was fine! Typical! They said that Daisy was very cute and was asking to go to Sam's room to check on him and give him cuddles, which she did a few times.

Daisy did not even make it to dinner as she was so tired. Sam was on a high dashing round, trying to get into the washing machine and eating his dinner plus some of mine. All in all I think a good first day at nursery.
