Happy Halloween

We still didn't get round to putting our decs up but we did enter into the spirit of things (there I go again) and got dressed up to go trick or treating with their friends Flo and Ed. We went round theirs for a spooky dinner before heading out to track down some candy.

Bit late this year

Not sure why but I really don't have any Halloween spirit this year - pardon the pun! Normally we decorate and have a party but this year I haven't even got the box of decs out of the loft yet! We did buy pumpkins and carve them though.

Mummy goes on a business trip

Now I haven't been aboard on my own for 12 years without Tim and the children and here I am doing it twice within 1 year. This trip was business to do a site visit for an event I am organising in Cannes, South of France next year and didn't I get spoilt!

Lovely time at the Crazy Bear

Tim and I escaped away on Friday afternoon to stay at a lovely boutique hotel in the market town of Beaconsfield. We had got the hotel including dinner and breakfast on a special deal and to be honest our expectations were not high. We arrived to a boutique hotel that on paper the design and decor is so wrong but in real life is amazing and just works. Unfortunately the best two rooms, the bar and restaurant in terms of decor I did not get any photos of but you can see on them on their website. We had a relaxing afternoon, drinks in the bar followed by a delicious 5 course dinner. We then woke to the most delicious breakfast before departing to visit some friends of ours on the way home to pick up the little people.

A great night away with my man, we really should do it more often!

One of the booths in the restaurant, this photo really does not do it justice. It had crystals in all the indents!

Getting our money's worth

We are member's of the National Trust and we have not got much use out of our annual pass recently so today we decided to take a trip out to Petworth House. Unfortunately the little fella was not on top form so we didn't make it into the house, just the tea room and we knew he wasn't faking it because he turned down cake and chocolate.

Petworth House has stunning grounds to wonder around and the house looked interesting too so we will certainly be returning.
