Start of the Jubilee celebrations... street parties at school

Daisy and Samuel both had street parties at their schools today to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Unfortunately I did not get any photos of Samuel's as I was at Daisy's school all day but I am proud to say that the little fella won the fancy dress competition for his year... that Coldstream Guards costume is always a winner.

Not only was the little fella a winner today but also our little lady was for her year in her school's annual talent competition with her dancing act.

Very proud of our little people.

The little lady is 8

Daisy pop's turned 8 today. We started the day with present opening and she was over the moon to get a ticket to see JLS in concert along with lots of other goodies such as clothes, Justin Bieber book, lip gloss, bag, the list goes on...

She was most horrified that she had to go to school as normally her birthday falls in half term, anyway she changed her mood when she knew they were going on a school trip to Wakehurst Place during the day. Samuel and I picked her up from athletics and when we arrived home we had to manically prepare for a family bbq. The garden had been decked in pink sparkly bunting and once the bbq was lit we were ready to go.

Finally the sun has come out to play

After weeks of miserable weather the sun has come out and the warm weather is here. This afternoon after school we headed to the beach with Daisy's friend Olivia and Daddy met us down there where we enjoyed a BBQ watching the tide go out.

Daisy's birthday party

Daisy's birthday party took place today at our local pool, we have had to do it a couple of weeks early as the Jubilee celebrations are close to her bday also the pool is being closed for maintenance for a few weeks.

Daisy had requested a club tropicana theme for her party, unfortunately we were limited on what we could do as we had a short set up time and also everything had to be carried in (no loading bay). We think it looked fab though and Daisy and her friends loved it.
