The weather doesnt know what it is doing!

Last month we posted about the construction of our veg patch and boy those seeds have been growing, we have had a great crop of lettuce and the Parker's have been enjoying a bumper feast of salads the past few weeks.

Daddy reversed mummy's car into a tree and took out the back window and dented the bumper which was pretty impressive, unfortunately mummy is driving a roller boot whilst her car is being fixed.

Sam had a great week as not only did he spend Thursday afternoon with Nanny Maureen but he scored two trips out with Grandad and Nanny Anne, of course they went to his beloved Bluebell Railway with one of his favourite people, his Grandad.

Finally the weather, what is going on, one minute it is blue skys and sunny, the next big grey clouds and light rain, then windy and then back to sun! Roll on the summer.

What's been going on...

Daddy went to see his beloved Millwall play football yesterday, they won but unfortunately will not got automatic promotion and now have to go on to play more matchs!

Another one bites the dust, Daisy is now Miss Gappy, she has lost her two front teeth, the other one came out on Friday night, unfortunately the tooth fairies have been delayed in coming (they forgot again) but as Daddy said as mummy and daddy have been up the past two nights with Sam being poorly they wouldnt come into the house as we were up. Daddy is better than Mummy with the stories these days.

Our little fella has been poorly the past couple of days, unusally he had a broken night on Friday with a bad cough and mainly slept yesterday, his breathing has been on the verge of nearly taking him to hospital but his pump (which he has not needed for a year) seemed to keep things under control. He seems so much better today. Although mummy and daddy are now feeling it due to lack of sleep.

Daisy has asked for a Hello Kitty birthday party with lots of glitter and pink!! Interesting one, my mind is in over drive with ideas but they have to be on a budget as we are on holiday in France when it is her birthday and we have told her her present is going up the Eiffel Tower but her real present is a surprise, a day to Euro Disney so the party when we get back has got to be on a tight budget - will be interesting to see what I can come up with. Watch this space.

Samuel, please

that was the answer when the doctor asked our little fella if he wanted to be called Sam or Samuel.

Samuel had his hearing check up today, he still has just below normal hearing which we knew about and was hoping that he would be discharged from the clinic but they are still a little concerned about his right ear drum so he will be continued to be seen for now and will go back in a few months.

I have mentioned before in the blog that he seems to have natural manners and the doctor that did his hearing test today said he was the most polite little boy he had come across, makes up for all those times he is a little monkey.

Brighton Festival Children's Parade 2010

Today was the start of the Brighton Festival and like every year it kicks off with the Children's parade. Unfortunately the weather wasnt too kind to us today at the beginning, it was cold and rainy and the little people werent on great form but has the sun came out and we hit the sea front the little people started to blossom and enjoy the day. Daisy did it with her friends Imogen, Flo, and Libby. We finished off at the seafront and had a big drum off before heading to the beach for a lunch of good old seaside sausage and chips with Flo, Ed, Jo and Scott.

Daddy was snowboarding and Sammy boy was with his grandad doing what they love most - visiting steam trains. It was lovely to spend some time with Daisy and after lunch we met Nanny Maureen in Pavilion Garden's what a great end to a lovely day.

Exciting developments yesterday

Wednesday 28th April was a big day for my new business venture Teacups & Tiaras as we had our first photo shoot. My partner Jo and I have been working for months, sourcing, making and sewing items for all the themes. All our hard work paid off yesterday as when it was all put together it looked fantastic. A photographer (www.photogenicimages.com) that I use a lot for events very kindly took the photos for us, his studio is based at ??? House in Kent which is a stunning location with acres of beautiful gardens. Unfortunately we only got to shoot two themes outside as it was so windy but the rest was done in the studio. The website will go live in a few weeks but here are a couple of pics from our shoot...

Things they say...

It is surprising how quickly our little people are growing up and what amazes me is that we soon forget the little things they say and quirky things they do, so to remind us in a few years I am jotting a few down today:

Our little fella
I think some children are born with very good manners, we have never taught Sam at 3yrs old to hold doors/gates open for people but it always amazes me that he does, espically ladies with buggies, etc. He always says please and thank you with very limited reminders and at the most unexpected times.

He is such a caring chap when I asked him for the third time to stay in his bed tonight he said but I want you to sleep with me mummy, I explained that I had a lot of work to do and his reply was 'Don't worry me and you can do it in the morning together'

I love the way he tells Daisy and I we look beautiful when we dress up to go out or wear something new.

He still calls yogurt - gog gogs. He loves smoothies, strawberries, hommous, bacon, beans and pasta.

He loves to blow raspberries on you and giggles until you do them back. He loves cuddles and having his bot bot and back rubbed. He doesnt like showers. He is scared of flys. He will try to pick up every cat he sees. He thinks he is helping me by weeing on the plants 'but mum I am watering them to stay alive'.

He love love love loves steam trains and adores his Grandad Frank.

Our little lady
She insists that she has a light on when going to sleep but burys herself under her duvet, head and all? She loves to draw. She adores her family esp her cousins and her nanny Maureen.

She loves to eat chocolate cake but doesnt like icing. She loves apple juice, pasta and pizza.

She is obessed with changing her outfit including knickers at least 3 times a day which is a little tiring on the washing chores.

She is enjoying telling jokes at the moment: Why did the banana got to the doctors? Because he wasnt peeling very well. Not sure where she got it from but we all found it very funny.

She now showers on her own including washing her hair. She loves raiding mummy's cupboard to use my hair brushes, etc

Her favourite tv show is 'Grand Pa in my pocket' and 'Pepper Pig', I love the way that when the shows come on if they are not together the other will run and shout excitidly telling the other one the show is on.
