Five years ago at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, exactly at this time the last episode of Friends had just aired on channel four, Tim was eating a take away curry and I had been induced! Our little lady was soon to be on her way!
Daisy is very excited about her birthday tomorrow so much so she is still awake now so Tim and I just had a look through her baby book with her and her first comment was 'Look how happy you look now you have me' - talk about being modest!

Partying with the animals
Today was Daisy's friend Libby's 5th birthday party, Libby is part of the school gang so all the girls were very excited to see each other as it is half term. The party was at Spring Barn Farm in Kingston and what a fantastic day we all had. There was so much to see and do and as it was raining in the morning we had the place to ourselves. We arrived prepared in our wellies but then thankfully the sun came out by lunch time. Although Sam did land in a big puddle on the go kart track so we had the first change of clothes by midday but remained dry for the rest of the time there.
At school, Daisy hangs out with Mia, Flo, Libby, Nancy, Jess, Jelena and Imogen so there is a gang of eight of them and they have grown really close since they started school and thankfully all the mum's get on well and we even socialise together which is good. The sad news is that one of Daisy's favourite friend's, Mia is moving to America for two years but she will be back, so that's what I keep telling Daisy.

Catch up time!
We have been a bit slack on updating the blog so here is an update in photo's:
Bank Holiday Monday 25th May - a day in the garden, although Sam got rescued by Nanny Maureen and was taken to the Volks railway for a few hours.

Daisy's paddling pool and slide set up

The Irelands then joined us for a BBQ in the rain, Aunty Jo wouldnt let us go inside... we were preparing ourselves for when we go camping and it rains!

That's rain drops on the patio.
Sunday 24th May - Daddy went to Wembley today to see his football team Millwall play but unfortunately they lost 2-3 so will go down next season! Meanwhile the little people and I went up to Jo & Murphy's and then walked down to the marina and met up with Aunty Debby and Keith for a spot of lunch and soaked up some of the entertainment on offer as it was the closing of the Brighton festival.
A band on stilts

The little fella and Aunty Jo meeting a rather large Punch!

Then Sam enjoyed dancing with Punch and Judy's rather large baby

they were then joined by Judy

Daisy with the lego family at the entrance

Daisy and Carys

The little fella meeting lego Bob the Builder and then...

he got to meet the real deal, he was so chuffed.

Daisy watching the 3D Bob the Builder film with her cool 3D glasses

Sam loving watching the tubes come in and out on the London Underground. It was all made out of Lego, brilliant.

Some of the sights of London again all made out of Lego

Brighton Pier

The little people enjoying a boat ride

Sam very excited about going on a big boy ride that went very very fast and he loved it

Sam and Mummy on the rides

Driving through the safari
The bargain dolls house
I bought Daisy a dolls house on ebay and was saving it until her birthday but she had guessed what was hiding under my dressing gown behind our bedroom door so she had it early. They both loved playing with it and now all we need is the furniture (although we have started her off with the lounge set up).
Our very own super hero!

Friday 22nd May - we went to Legoland with my friend Emma, her husband Mark and their children Carys and Ashton. It is a fantastic park with loads to do and see and the little people had the best time.

Thursday 21st May - Daisy went out with Nanny Maureen after school and then went for a birthday celebratory dinner at Donatellos. Nanny arranged for an ice cream with sparklers and everyone in the restaurant sang Happy Birthday to Daisy.
Tuesday 19th May - I had a working lunch so Nanny Maureen very kindly picked up Sam from playgroup and Daisy went to a friend for teas after school.

Our little fella the train driver
Sammy boy was picked up from playgroup by his Nanny Maureen today and went on an adventure. It was a fun packed afternoon with a visit to Brighton Museum, a ride on the Volks railway and lunch with cousin Kelly and 2nd cousin Elsie.
