Happy Good Friday

We celebrated Good Friday with my mum and my brothers and sisters and their little people with lunch and an Easter Egg hunt at ours. As always it was a busy day with lots of food, drink, chatting and noise! Daisy and Samuel had a great day as they love having their family around plus they scored loads of chocolate easter eggs!!

The first team is out the front looking for eggs - the family were spilt into three teams and had to hold hands at all times although there was lots of cheating going on.

Drusillas, Brighton Pier and suppa on the beach

Merryn and Imogen came to stay for a few days and we went to Drusilla's which Sam was most chuffed about as he got to go on Thomas. We then went on the pier and the little people spent about 45minutes going on the rides. Sam went on the bumper cars for the first time, at first he didnt like being bumped but then when he saw Daisy laughing he found it funny too. Suppa was fish and chips on the beach before heading home with very sleepy children. Unfortunately no pics as my camera has broken so will upload when Merryn sends me some.

A day at the park

It was a quick dash to the store this morning as we had literally ran out of everything. It was then another dash home to prepare our picnic for our trip to Stanmer Park to met up with some of Daisy's school friends.

The little people had a great time running through the woods. We left mid afternoon and came home and all of us ended up having an afternoon nap! Lovely.

It was an early start for us with me clearing out the shed and hoovering up all the little poly balls that had gone everywhere (I wouldnt normally hoover my shed). We had so much junk for the tip that it filled up one car... where does it all come from. We got out the garden furniture and put it all togather, Daddy impressed us by showing us he knew how to use a power tool! After a mornings hard work in the garden we went for a stroll down the beach, had pizza and ice cream on the beach, played in the park and then a nap at home!

Spot the bonnet

How many Easter bonnet parades. This morning was the Easter Egg Hunt and bonnet parade at Sam's preschool which was great fun, we had a food from around the world table so lunch was delicious. Sam had a great time decorating his bag before going to hunt for eggs. Then it was time for some lunch and face painting before the parade. We popped home quickly before we went to see Daisy in her bonnet parade.

All the school did a parade in the playground and our classes parents were the only ones cheering and clapping which was a little weird so made up just do it even louder!!! Daisy was leading the class with her teacher and did a fantastic job. It was then a quick stop at the park before heading home.

Lights, Camera, Action!

It was a big day in the Parker household as Daisy was appearing in Dance Live 09 at the Brighton Dome. It is a part of Brighton festival and all the schools in Brighton & Hove perform a dance. It is on over four nights and Daisy's school was on tonight. She has been rehearsing for a few months and went down to the Dome for a full dress rehearsal this morning.

They were the first school up and what can I say but amazing! I cried through the whole dance I was so proud and Daisy did a fantastic job. We saw Aunty Debby with her school and Nanny Maureen, Nanny Anne, Grandad, Aunty Jo and Cala came along to cheer Daisy on. We then went for a pizza before heading home. It was a long and busy day for the little lady but a great one.

Just before she was dropped off for the dress rehearsal

Unfortunately we were not able to take picture but Daisy's teacher did get this one which she gave to us and we can then buy some of the official photos soon... so watch this space. I have circled Daisy!

Happy Mother's Day

I was woken up this morning by two beautiful little people bearing homemade cards and offering to make me breakfast in bed... which I declined as I didnt think it was wise considering they are only 4.5 yrs and 2.5 years old!

Daddy arrived home this morning from a week away snowboarding. We spent the day chilling at home and doing some gardening (well Mummy doing gardening). Aunty Jo, Cala and Jay popped over and Sam and Daisy gave Cala and Jo a small gift to each of them for Mother's day as a thank you for always being there when we need help with the children and being so supportive when Sammy boy has been in hospital.

Nanny Maureen, Nanny Anne and Grandad then came over for suppa, after lots of yummy food, the boys washed up and the mummy's relaxed!
