Temple's and the Festival of Light...

This morning I accompanied Daisy and her class to a Temple to hear all about Diwali, the festival of light. It was nice to spend time with Daisy and I had her, Nancy, Flo and Jelena in my group. They had to wear yellow vests and walk in pairs, very cute. The temple was lovely to see but the person talking about it was not so good, I thought the children did a fantastic job of sitting through it all. I do have some photos but they are on my phone but I am not so sure how to download those yet so will have to wait for those.

Congrats to our little lady...

on completing her Level 2 swimming today (well actually she picked up Level 2 certificate and badge) and is only one task away from picking up Level 3 - what a clever water baby. So to celebrate we had pancakes with lemon, sugar and chocolate sauce and for the special entertainment element Mummy set the egg box on fire but thankfully managed to put it out in a controlled manor!

Sorry been really lazy with photos but desktop has virus, blur blur blur so will update shortly.
Today I added a visitor counter. I really wish I had done this at the start of the blog but hey hoy! I was sitting here wondering if many people do actually visit it so now we shall see.

What we did this weekend...

... danced our socks off at the school disco (Mummy and Daisy)
... went to see High School Musical 2 at the theatre with Nanny Maureen
... went swimming
... got the garden ready for winter - lots of mowing, triming and raking!
... eat curry, a roast dinner and MacDonalds (not altogether)
... went for 4.5 mile run (well Mummy did)
... went to church (Daddy and Daisy)
... got our computer fixed
... drank hot chocolate and eat mince pies, yum yum
... went over to Nanny and Grandad's
... went on a steam train at Bluebell Railway (Daddy, Samuel and Grandad)
... washed both cars, well Mummy and Daisy did whilst the boys were at the railway
... did some ironing
... went to the park
... made wool pumpkins
and finally lots of cuddling

Wowza, no wonder we are tired this evening. Night Night.

Take home task is finished...

and I was meant to take a picture of it before we took it into school but I forgot... bad mummy. Anyway Daisy had a home task for school and it was to make a model of a fire for their fire project. She liked the idea of a camp fire so we made some little tents and we stuck them on some board and made a camp fire out of twigs from the garden and orange/red tissue paper and stuck it all down in the middle.

So as we have no photos of the home task I thought I would take some of the little people's bedroom's so they can look back on this when they are older and see what their rooms used to be like. I have also spent the past week clearing them out when they are at school/pre-school and cleared nearly three bin bags for the rubbish/charity shop.

Get Well Soon Aunty Debby

After school this afternoon we picked up Nanny Maureen and made a quick dash up the A23 to see Aunty Debby as she is poorly in hospital in Haywards Heath.

She had an op yesterday and was meant to be home this morning but unfortunately keeps being sick so to make her feel better we thought we would grace her with our presence. Nanny saw her first and then I took Daisy into see her whilst Nanny stayed in the cafe with Samuel, it was Daisy's first experience of visiting someone in hospital (other than Sam) and she did very well.

Hopefully Aunty Debby will be home tomorrow.
