Saturday 14th Feb - Sam, Daisy and I walked to the shops late in the afternoon to get the final supplies for our valentine's suppa and also to get a dvd. Sam did a great job walking all the way there and back and not running off, although I think it did help that he had his buggy with Bob the Builder in!



Friday 13th Feb - Daisy had to go to school today with mad hair!

Well two exciting things happened today...

The first was we received a parcel from our friend Jane in America (a belated Christmas present) which was a lovely surprise. Daisy and Sam were very excited even more so after they had opened them as Daisy got a new dressing up outfit and Sam got a new remote control Thomas, Nanny Maureen got a cardigan and I got some wine glass charms and some butter knives. So a huge THANK YOU to Jane for the lovely presents.

The second exciting thing was Daisy and Sam's 2nd cousins came to tea this afternoon, Tilly and Elsie, they have recently moved back to Brighton so it is nice to see them often. They had a great time playing and lots of biscuits and chocolates was consumer.

The down side of today was I got soaked and I dont mean a little wet, I got so wet that I had to change my clothes. It was only a five minute walk from Daisy's school to the car park but boy did it rain!

Sammy boy is talking so much now, unfortunately since his haircut Daddy has taught him 'Skinnnn Headddd' which I am not too impressed with. He also keeps saying 'Oh my god' - which is actually quite funny but dont encourage it. He also says 'What we doing now' 'I like this song' 'my hands are cold' 'I am hungary' 'I am tired' - we are very proud of him and hopefully with his talking coming on he won't have to go back to the speech therapist.

Relaxing weekend

This weekend was pretty chilled out. Daisy had dancing on Saturday and then a party afterwards so Daddy, Sam and I headed into town for a few hours.

Sunday morning we relaxed at home before going for a long walk along the seafront and then came home and made some fairy cakes for the school cake sale tomorrow and also finished off Daisy's alien mask that she made for her space project at school. Sammy boy and Daddy got a haircut with our new clippers - there's a credit crunch we cannot afford the barbers!

It was a beautiful but cold day

Daisy's alien mask that she made all by herself (other than me cutting it out), she painted it, put the glitter on and then stuck it all together. It was very handy that she got a green mask in her party bag on Saturday - that is what is behind the green mask and keeping it on her head.

The fairy cakes that she made and decorated - Aunty Dawn, our Daisy is a dab hand with the icing encase you need any help, unlike me who mainly eats most of it!

For some reason this afternoon, Sam spent most of it with no clothes on - his choice!

A lot happens in a week!

What an exciting few days. Firstly Sam and I collected Daddy from the airport. It was a complete surprise for him as he thought he had to get the bus home from Heathrow which normally takes at least two and a half hours but he called when he landed and I lied and told him I was in the supermarket and you could tell the disappointment in his voice so he was very pleased that when he came through arrivals there was Sammy boy and me waiting for him.

Daddy picked Daisy up from school and she was very excited to see her Daddy, it was then family dinner, cuddles, story time and all the Parker's went to sleep at 7pm other than me as I went out for drinks with the girls (well I knew Tim would be jet lagged).

Thursday was busy as I had an event so the little people had a great time as not only was Daddy home but Nanny Anne and Grandad picked them up from school/playgroup and then Nanny Maureen had a sleep over to help out Tim in the morning.

The weekend was spent chilling, Daisy went to dance school on Saturday morning and then had a nice reat of lunch with Nanny Maureen, Uncle David, Aunty Dawn, Mia and Bob at one of her favourite restaurants. Sunday Daisy then went to the cinema with cousin Cala and we all had a nice roast dinner in the afternoon when they got back.

Monday, well see photos below, the first one is what we woke up too. School was closed and Daddy could not get to work...

Sunday 25th January
We had a relaxing morning at home with Daisy having a very rare treat of breakfast in bed in mummy and daddy's bed. I thankfully got a bit of a lay in this morning as Sam didnt wake up until 7.45am and Daisy 8.15am - pure bliss.

Aunty Debby, Uncle Keith and Nanny Maureen came for lunch today which was really nice as we dont get to see Debby and Keith a lot. Daisy loved having Debby over as she is a school teacher so they did school stuff like taking the register and learning to write.

After an afternoon of lots of food and chatting, the little people and I chilled out in front of the tv. Then it was suppa, bath and hair wash, story time and bed for the little people and work on the computer for the rest of the evening for me.

Saturday 24th January

This morning Daisy went to dancing with Nanny Maureen and then met Aunty Jo for lunch. She had a great time at Donatello's and Nanny said she was fantastically behaved and had great table manners which is always nice to hear. Sam got the short end of the straw and was hanging out with me at home, mind you we did read lots of stories and play trains alot. We also did some real drilling which Sam thought was great fun. We put a new rack for their pens and crayons by their easel. Nothing else to report for the day just a day chilling and being at home. We did get a Chinese takeaway in the evening as both Sam, Daisy and I love chinese food. Daisy made sure that we didnt eat the crackers in the car on the way home we had to wait until we were at the table!!

Loving our dinner, at one point Sam was putting noddles in his mouth with a fork and his hand because he could not get them in quick enough.

We were up nice and early (5.30am) thanks to Samuel! Daisy is learning all about space at school at the moment and one of her home projects is to make a spacemans helmet, so that is what we set about doing this morning. Wish daddy was home to do it as he would have done a far better job - turner out more like a robots head!

It was then school and playgroup for the little people and work for me. I will be glad when next Thursday comes as that is the last event for me in a while, so no more work which is great for me but not so for the bank balance!

Nanny Maureen picked Sam up so I could get on with work. In the afternoon we hung out at home and Cala came over for dinner and to hang out with the little people as I went out for a drink with the mum's from Daisy's school, which was nice.
