Wey Hay Daddy is home & 24th to 28th week wrap

Monday 28th - today was back to playgroup and thankfully Daisy had returned to her normal self so she went to ballet with Nanny Maureen this afternoon and was allowed to watch a little tv when she got home and the most exciting thing was story time with daddy which took a rather long 40 minutes as they were both having so much fun. Sam has been very clingy today so I have not got much done as most of the time has been spent cuddling him and playing with toy cars!

Sunday 27th - we named today chill out Sunday as this is what we have done all day. This morning I had the treat of a lay in and then went on my own to meet Ted for breakfast at the Metropole which was lovely (and I eat far too much), I then came home and off we went to church and Tim cooked lunch afterwards. The boys hung out at home whilst I took Daisy to her friend's Holly 4th birthday party and then Tim cooked a delicious dinner and we relaxed watching the 'Wedding Crashers' - very funny movie.

Saturday 26th - Cala and I set out early for some retail therapy in Brighton. I treated myself to a couple of things and also had to stock up on some clothes for Daisy as she has suddenly grown and some of her tops are like cropped tops on her these days. In the afternoon it was the 'Parker Ireland Car Wash' - three cars that were once dirty inside and out became sparkling clean (although Daddy's should have carried a health warning before cleaning). Cala did the washing, I did the interiors and Daisy did the wheels on all three cars which is impressive for a 3.5 year old. Although by wheel ten she said "I am fed up of doing all the wheels, I want to do windows next time!"

This evening we went out to dinner with Nanny Maureen, Aunty Jo, Uncle Murp, Aunty Deb, Keith and a very dear friend of my parents, Ted Andrews. It was a lovely to see Ted and my little two were perfectly behaved considering it was well past their bedtime. We left the restaurant about 8.45pm and went to pick Daddy up from the airport, Daisy was so excited and kept asking if she could run to him so I had to drive past him which left Tim looking confused so Daisy could get out and do the big dramatic run and welcome which I know both she and Tim love!!! Daddys and their little girls!!!

Friday 27th - It was lovely having Nanny to stay as I got a bit of a lie in and then we all walked to playgroup together. Unfortunately Daisy was not very well behaved at playgroup which is quite unusual for our little lady even her key worker said it was out of character for her. She was put on the naughty step and her reaction was ' Good, I need some piece and quiet from you lot!' Anyway due to her behavour she was not allowed to go to ballet, watch tv or have a bedtime story until she could prove that she could be good at playgroup, unfortuantely for her playgroup is two days away due to the weekend.

Thursday 26th - It was nursery for the little people and they were picked up by Nanny Maureen today as I had a big event which thankfully went really well but I did not get in until gone 2am so Nanny stayed over.

Busy day!

Today was like a thursday for the Parkers (as I have a big event tomorrow so working quite a bit at the moment), the big people at work and the little people at nursery accept one of the big people has escaped to the mountains for some snowboarding. Daisy and Sam have been so good whilst Daddy is away. Daisy is really missing him though and tells him everytime he calls and then says laughing "mummy is busy, she can't talk, bye" and I am standing next to her waiting for her to pass the phone back!

Sorry Daddy not many photos today other than those of the little people tucked up peacefully in bed! I know you will chuckle when you see the ones of Daisy - why does she pull the duvet right over her head?

Aunty Angela is getting married!

Well this morning we woke up to the news that Aunty Angela is getting married to Alan - he proposed last night on Eastbourne beach under the moonlight! How romantic! Fortunately for Angela, her best friend (i.e. me) organises events/weddings so we know what the subject of our conversations are going to be for the next few months. We have already discussed the venue and date and it is looking likely to be in Bexhill-on-Sea on the 27th September 2008. Only 35 weeks and 4 days to go.

After that exciting news we dropped Daisy off at playgroup, came home and did some chores and then picked Daisy up early as Angela came over for the afternoon, so after picking her up at the station we headed off to Croydon to do some celebratory shopping. Whilst we were out Angela asked Daisy to be her bridesmaid and Daisy is very excited, as in her own words "I can wear lip gloss, sparkly dress and sparkly shoes and have my hair done nice."

On our return the little people went to bed and out came the wedding magazines and a curry was ordered - a nice girly evening!

Late start

The morning started well as the little people did not wake up until just after 8am so it was a lay in for everyone.

'The Parker walk everywhere' campaign is going well. Today we did the same route as last Monday, we walked to paygroup and Sam and I then walked to Boundary Road so I could have my weekly weigh in at Boots - I am glad to say the walking is paying off. We then came home and by this time Sam was fast asleep so I started the mountain of ironing we have.

After lunch we picked Daisy up and walked to Westo's to meet Callum, Charlotte and Vic for playtime. It was nice as I also saw some people that I have not seen for a while, one being the lady that used to check Daisy in for Gymboree when she was one, she could not believe how big Daisy had got.

Daddy is having a great time snowboarding and we know because we speak to him at least twice a day and email... I am dreading getting our phone bill. We know he is reading the blog each day so I am making sure I update it and take pics of the little people. I took some great photos today but unfortunately when uploading them on to the blog I deleted them - durrr!!

This morning we hung out at home and Daisy was really pleased as they were showing some Barbie films on cable, so she had a real treat of laying on the sofa watching a film with some hot chocolate. After the film she showed me how she does 'hampstamps' which is handstands to us - we cannot work out how she has come up with that name, it is like when she used to call Biscuits - iscuits.

Sam is growing up so quickly, we have moved his highchair to the table so he sits to the table like us (i.e. without the tray) and he has his own plate now he has stopped his plate throwing habit. He tucks into his meals on his own but does need a little help here and there. He is desperate to talk, new words include; Daisy, milk, ish (for Fish) and there (with pointing action). I thought I heard a few no's yesterday but not sure.

We headed over to Nan and Grandad's for a delicious lunch today, Susie and Lucy were also there which was a nice surprise. I then headed back on my own as I was helping out with a church event and the little people came home with Nan and Grandad. After a light suppa, lots of cuddles and stories it was bedtime. They are really missing their Daddy (who is away snowboarding) but we speak to him at least three times a day on the phone!

We miss you Daddy!

Yesterday I took Tim to the airport as he was flying off for a weeks snowboarding. Not much happened in the day, Daisy had playgroup, I popped into work for a couple of hours and then I had some friends over for dinner!!!

Today Daisy went off to disco dancing with Nanny Maureen and was showing off her new moves on her return. Sam and I went with a wedding client to look at some marquees and confirm their decor. We meet back up with Daisy and went to her friends birthday party which was complete kayos with really bad food for the children so I was glad that Daisy didnt eat much (even I wasnt tempted which is unusual). When we got home we chilled in front of the tv and Sam did his favourite thing at the moment which is to sit near the bottom of the stairs with the stair gate shut and play with his cars!

A big THANK YOU to cousin Mia for the fish tank that she gave Sam, he loves standing in front of it and looking at the fish go by.

Funplex here we come

The little people had a great time running around Funplex this morning playing on the great equipment they have with their friend Libby whilst I got to hang out and chat with Rachel and have a cuddle with William who is only three months. We headed home via the supermarket as Nanny Anne came over to see the little people and I took the opportunity to nip into work to see a client for an hour. Once Grandad Frank had arrived and Daddy was home we all had dinner and then it was time for cuddles, bathtime and bed.

Tim and I watched a tv programme in bed and then I popped downstairs to do some work on the computer and when I returned this is what I found in our bed...
