Appointments here, there and everywhere

The week I start my 'walk everywhere' campaign it decideds to pour with rain everyday! The reasons for this new campaign are 1. to help save the enviroment by not using my car, 2. to save money by not buying petrol, 3. to speed up my weight lose plan!

Yesterday we walked to playgroup in the sunshine and then headed to the supermarket and by the time we came out it was pouring with rain. So Sam arrived home nice and dry in his buggy and I was soaked! In the afternoon we headed off to meet our friends, Vic, Callum and Charlotte at Westows (soft play with climbing frames). We were there three hours and Daisy had a fantastic time running around, Sam ran around at first but because he was still a little poorly he chilled in his buggy for the rest of the time. Again when we left to walk home it was pouring with rain.

We were recently sent the application pack to apply for Daisy's school which she is due to start this September. We have a favourite but it is a church school and unfortunately we don't think we will get in as we have not been going for two years which is the criteria, we are going to try anyway. I went to look around one of the other schools this morning which is closer to us but I was really disappointed and I think we are going to consider Private School if she doesnt get into the one we want!! No surprise that I got soaked walking there and back.

Sam had an appointment with the hospital this afternoon and they are generally happy with him (i.e. he is not getting worse), we are waiting the appointment with the specialist. Again I got soaked walking from the car to the hospital (hospital is too far away to walk too).

Tonight Tim and I are off to look at another school. I will be glad when this process is over although I cannot believe that my little lady is nearly big enough for school!

Sammy boy's second home!

Our weekend started with our little fella back in hospital with the usual problems but thankfully it was only for Friday afternoon/early evening and then he was allowed home. A huge thank you to Nanny Maureen for taking Daisy to ballet and Nanny Anne and Grandad for the takeaway curry when we got home!

Sam woke up on Saturday in perfect health which was great! We had a relaxing day chilling round the house. I managed to get to the plumbers merchant to choose our new bathroom which we hope to have done this year!!! Our friends Dan and Vic came round for dinner on Sat night and I tried a couple of receipes from Nigella Express which went down a storm.

Today was church in the morning and another relaxing afternoon as the weather was not great. Daisy has never really shown much interest in our computer but when Tim showed her High School Musical on You Tube, she loved listening to the songs over and over again. Sammy boy did some painting although was more keen on putting the brush in his mouth rather than on the paper!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALA

I cannot believe that my niece is 26 today, I can remeber the day she was only (ok I was only eight but I remember). After the little people had spent the day and nursery and the big people at work we picked Nanny Maureen up on the way to Aunty Jo's for a celebratory birthday dinner which was very yummy. Cala opened all her lovely presents and cards and then had the pleasure of us singing happy birthday to her!

Well not quite but they went on seperate adventures yesterday with some of their favourite people. Daisy went to the cinema with her cousin Cala to see Elvin and the Chipmonks and had a great time going on the trampolines afterwards. Sam went out with Nanny Maureen and they went to Westo's which is a big indoor soft play area. He really enjoyed dashing around everywhere and playing football with his Nanny.

Whilst the little people were taken care of Mummy cleared the blocked drain in the garden - oh the glamour and then we went to the cinema to see P.S. I love you - which was really boring.

Daisy went to her friends Ruby's birthday party today and had a great time. It was really cute as she was introducing me to her friends from nursery. The rest of the day was spent chilling at home and Daddy doing a huge three hours of ironing (which has never happened before).

It snowed today!

It snowed for about two hours today in Brighton but the ground was too wet for it to lay!

Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to ...

work Tim goes! Tim had to go back to work today which was really sad as we have loved having him around the past week and a bit. Daisy, Sam and I headed out early this morning to pick up Nanny Maureen and then we set off to London to see Gill and Bernard so that Nanny could give them their christmas presents and we received some fantastic presents - so a big THANK YOU to Gill and Bernard for those. Sam got a great car and Daisy a little winnie the pooh hanging for her bedroom. Mummy and Daddy got a fantastic travel bag.

After leaving Weybridge we dashed over to Wimbledon to meet up with Uncle David, Aunty Dawn, Mia and Bobbie for lunch before going to see the panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I hadnt planned on taking Sam as I got Tim's return date to work mixed up but he came along and loved it. He got a little restless towards the end of the first half but other than that he loved the lights and music. Daisy had a great time as she sat with Bobbie (who she adores) and Bobbie's school friends. We then headed over to David and Dawn's for suppa before heading home.

Happy New Year - 2008

The day was spenting relaxing and taking down the Christmas decorations. Family tradition is that we take the Christmas tree to be recycled after we have taken it down, so Tim carried the tree and we all walked to Wish Park to the recycling point and then on to the seafront for a nice walk.
